Our Story

Maison Monteiro was founded from a simple observation: modern menswear had stopped being designed for real men.

For years, most polos and everyday essentials were created around overly slim silhouettes, fashion trends, or generic fits that looked good on models but felt frustrating in real life. Too tight around the stomach. Too thin. Too rigid. Too uncomfortable in warm weather.

After spending more than 15 years working alongside textile manufacturers and pattern designers across Portugal and Northern Italy, founder Matteo Monteiro decided to approach menswear differently.

Instead of following trends, Maison Monteiro was built around structure, balance and wearability.

Every piece starts with a precise understanding of proportions, fabric behavior and how clothing should naturally fall on different body types. From reinforced collars to structured cuts and breathable materials, every detail is designed to create a cleaner, more balanced silhouette without sacrificing comfort.
